Before I came to NetApp, our hardware was represented in the old-fashioned way, primarily through static photos. While this traditional method is still valid in helping potential buyers visualize exactly what they are spending millions of dollars on, from a marketing standpoint, it is incredibly expensive. I took the initiative to hunt down the original CAD files that are used in the manufacturing of these impressive monster servers and successfully brought them into the powerful software Cinema 4D. The results are not just simple images, but elegant and dynamic representations that truly stand out above and beyond anything currently offered in the industry.
